Mothering & Mourning at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center

Mothering & Mourning, a 50 minute dance theater performance by Megan Flynn and Teresa VanDenend Sorge presented as part of the public programming for the Rooms of Grief exhibition. Blending experimental movement and storytelling across five powerful pieces, the work explores caregiving, memory loss, friendship in difficult times, cancer, and finding joy amid grief.

Reuniting in Cincinnati after years based in Philadelphia, the artists unpack the layered weight of caring for children, parents, community, and creative life. This intimate and moving performance expands the themes of Rooms of Grief, inviting audiences to consider how the body carries love, loss, and resilience.

The performance takes place at the KHAC Lindner Annex, 6620 Montgomery Road. Doors open at 12:30 pm. Rooms of Grief remains on view in the Kennedy Gallery through March 14.
