Talk on Stage? (2026)

Two embodied monologues by dancers terrified to talk on stage

Eleanor Roosevelt famously said, “Do one thing every day that scares you.” Returning Cincy Fringe dance artists, Megan Flynn and Teresa VanDenend Sorge double dog dare each other to try something new— talking on stage. Longtime collaborators, the pair will bring their (actual) voices to their signature dance storytelling.

Like Moths to a Flame: New Dances (2025)

Like moths to a flame – Do we blow out the match, or light a thousand?

What do 85 year old love letters, your deceased mother’s journals, and a box of matches have in common? Unearthing embers of generational wisdom that spark a new (flight) path forward. Curated by Cincy Fringe returning artists, Megan Flynn & Teresa VanDenend Sorge: Le Spectacle De Merde (‘24), Mothering & Mourning (‘23).

Le Spectacle de Merde (Welcome to our Sh*t Show!) (2024)

Aging. Adulting. Good luck trying not to slip in it!

Instead of “break a leg,” dancers say “Merde!” An evening of experimental, devised dance works that weave together stories of aging, adulting, grieving and growing, while navigating the messiest stages of life alongside our chosen family. Created by Megan Flynn & Teresa VanDenend Sorge, choreographers of Mothering & Mourning (Cincy Fringe 2023).

Mothering & Mourning (2023)

Dances of mothering and mourning, because aren’t we all?

An evening of experimental dance, dedicated to the absurdity of caregiving and the mother-like folks unfazed by the mess. Sandwiched between caring for aging parents and young children; harvesting eggs due to a cancer diagnosis; and birthing creative ideas without an epidural. Mothering and Mourning – aren’t we all?
